Beyond the Headlines

A deep interest in record-keeping and current affairs drew me into a career in broadcast journalism, where I was privileged to cover major beats in Nigeria and beyond — especially the actions of newsmakers in politics and governance processes aimed at improving the well-being of citizens and society.

Over three decades, that early curiosity carried me from local newsrooms to the State House, and eventually to the world stage — covering the people and decisions that shaped Nigeria's place in it.

This work allows me to share perspectives on how those actions and key decisions were reached, how policy statements translated into concrete steps, and how programme execution unfolded beyond the limits of my original reportage — shaping public understanding of these developments.
